I would not say that either of the two major full service hospitals in Hartford are worse than the other. They both have their pros and cons. St. Francis is a very religious hospital with religious values as far as a lot of things such as family planning and pregnancy. Hartford Hospital is more of a typical hospital you would find anywhere. I personally would choose Hartford over St. Francis if I had to. The location and parking being my two favorites about it. I also noticed the staff is much more helpful at Hartford than St. Francis. I had my son at St. Francis and was very let down by how we were treated. I am young looking and my husband had not arrived when I was checked in and they acted like I was nothing to them. As soon as he arrived everything changed. Hartford also has a strictly children hospital, Connecticut children's Medical Center that is Top Notch! My son goes there for all of his non DR. office appointments and I would not take him anywhere else!!!
