You should have an intake between 1500 and 2200 calories a day...depending on your fitness/activity level. If you are inactive with lets say, a desk job, then to maintain weight you should stay closer to 1500. If you are active and work out several times a week, plus have an active job/life, you should be looking more towards the 2200 caloric intake.
