That depends. If you are making a homemade pie than it shouldn't take any more than a half hour. If you are using a pie from the box then ten minutes or less is ideal. Whiskey cherries are going to take a little bit longer. You will need to store the cherries in a bottle of whiskey for at least 3-6 months. If you have done the proper steps ahead of time for the whiskey cherries then it shouldn't take any longer than a half hour to add to the pie.
