How would you Cook Venison Tenderloin
In order to cook venison simply treat it as you would any beef product of similar weight and cut. It has a much more “gamey†taste so marinade accordingly. My favorite way (and probably the easiest) is to quickly douse it with some Worcestershire sauce and some salt and cracked black pepper and grill it on the propane grill. I like it a little rare so go ahead and press your thumb down onto the meat while it’s cooking. When it’s about the same pressure as the palm of your hand (that muscle under your thumb) you’re set. The more resistance you feel, the more done the meat it. It’ll take a little while to get used to grilling using this method but, when you get the hang of it, it’s great because you aren’t gutting down into the meat to test for doneness and spilling out all those great juices.
