Use your leftovers, when you go shopping make sure to have ideas ready for leftovers. I save my leftover lamb and I make a pasta salad with lamb, olive oil, onions, peppers, chopped tomatoes and mushrooms. Just sautee the vegggies, cook the pasta, add the chopped tomatoes to the veggies and then add everything to the cooked pasta.

536 days agoI believe quite a few diet supplement used to be dangerous when the used ephedra in them. I admit to using the ephedra years ago. I was so hyper it was ridiculous. So not worth it. If you read the ingredients in most of the diet supplements there is some form of caffeine. Usually if a supplement gives you that boost it is just the caffeine. Too much is a bad thing and can cause erratic heartbeat. I'd save your money and just have a single cup of coffee. Another way to get a great natural boost is to get 30 minutes of exercise. It makes you feel better all day!
627 days agoPersonally, I have never been a fan of taking pills. Most of the pills that offer some kind of "energy boost" can be very dangerous if you have any health conditions (especially heart of kidney). When are you feeling this way? After breakfast? Or, perhaps lunch? Eating foods that are low GI (glycemic index) such as grains, most fruits and vegetables, and legumes coupled with good sources of protein can help reduce the huge spikes in your blood sugar. Try to stay away from simple sugars/carbohydrates such as soda, bread, and starchy vegetables such as potatoes. This can help keep you from feeling tired after a meal. Proper hydration is not a bad idea too. Make sure you are drinking at least 8 8 oz glasses a day. I hope this helps.
627 days agoAny pill can be dangerous if not used according to the directions. This includes diet pills. Before taking any kind of pill you should always talk with your doctor. They would know best about what is out there, and what is safe/unsafe.
629 days agoThere are tons of diet supplements on the market today that claim to be safe and healthy. The only advice I can give you is to always check with your doctor before taking any supplements, even natural herbs. I have tried of few different diet supplements in my days and I have never had any luck. The only results I have ever received was being tired at the end of the day and a nervous, sick feeling during the daytime. The best thing to do is just eat healthy. Diets are just temporary eating habits in my opinion, you need to make a permanent change to see any real results. Who could stay on a diet forever? So my advice is to eat healthy and squeeze in some exercise when you can!

636 days agoJust use some common sense to eat healthier (as in avoid fast food unless it's your final option...better to eat something than to starve and mess up your metabolism) and change your lifestyle: instead of trying to find the closest parking spot, go for the furthest and walk the rest of the way; take stairs instead of elevators and walk up escalators. Also, eat smaller meals but more frequently. That should increase your metabolism.I've been working out three to four days a week for two hours straight for the past three to four months. My routine is an hour of cardio (with different machines...I'd go nuts with boredom if I had to walk or run for an hour) and then another hour of weights where I work out every part of my body. Honestly, I haven't dropped much weight, but I have lost fat and people have told me that I look more "toned" now. And hell, I even feel better.
